What is Day Weaning?
Day weaning allows us to ease into the weaning process. It gives us an opportunity to evaluate the crias and see how they do on their own. Laelia, Archi & Maestro will be separated in a pen by them selves during the day. During evening chores we will move them back with their mothers.
If you visit within the next few months you will notice the cria's are on their own! You might hear some whining and observe behaviors you may have not seen before. All of these things are a normal part of the weaning process.
Weaning isn't just hard on the crias -- it's hard on us too! It's never easy to say no to a whining cria.
