Halter Training Day at the Farm

It was an exciting day at the farm last week when we started halter training all 6 crias.  We had wonderful help from the Unity College students.  They also helped us with some fence post work and tree trimming!

Earth Day Weekend at Northern Solstice Alpaca Farm

We had a wonderful Earthday Weekend here at the farm.  I think the alpacas had more fun than the kids!  We planted sunflower and pumpkin seedlings using alpaca fiber and alpaca fertilizer!

Build-A-Bale Collaborative Blankets

These beautiful blankets were made by a collaborative effort of several alpaca farms in Maine.  They feature 100% alpaca fiber and were woven by Woolrich Woolen Mills.  Working together alpaca farms in Maine combined their annual shearing with the goal of producing a professionally designed, USA made alpaca product.
